About the Challenge

AI Odyssey 1.0: Innovation, Powered by AI is an exhilarating hackathon designed to ignite your creativity and problem-solving skills. This event provides a platform for participants to develop AI-driven solutions across six major themes: Finance, Education, HealthCare, Defense, Energy, and Open Innovation. Our goal is to foster innovation and create commercially viable projects that can make a real-world impact.

Participants will have 24 hours to develop their projects, starting from the inauguration at 10 AM on the 29th. During this period, teams will work intensively to create, refine, and perfect their solutions. The competition is structured into two rounds:

  • Round 1: Teams submit their projects, including a PPT presentation and a GitHub repository link, by 4 PM on the 30th.
  • Round 2: The top 10 teams will present their projects to a panel of judges, who will evaluate and score each presentation. The team with the highest score will be declared the winner.

Throughout the hackathon, participants will have access to support and resources, ensuring they can focus on developing innovative solutions.

Get Started

Ready to dive into the challenge? Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Register: Sign up for the hackathon using the registration link and join the designated WhatsApp group for updates and communication.

  2. Form Your Team: Assemble a team of 3-5 members who share your enthusiasm for AI and innovation.

  3. Prepare Your Tools: Ensure you have access to the necessary tools and technologies. Check our recommended list in the "Tools and Technologies" section for guidance.

  4. Brainstorm Ideas: Begin brainstorming project ideas within the chosen theme. Consider the problem you want to solve, the impact it can have, and how AI can be leveraged to create a solution.

  5. Join the Inauguration: Attend the hackathon inauguration at 10 AM on the 29th to kick off the event. Details will be shared in the WhatsApp group.

  6. Develop Your Project: Work intensively with your team to develop your project. Make use of available resources and support channels.

  7. Submit Your Project: Complete your PPT presentation using the provided template and ensure your GitHub repository is well-documented. Submit both by 4 PM on the 30th.

  8. Prepare for Round 2 (If Shortlisted): If your team is among the top 10, prepare to present your project to the judges. Focus on clear communication and demonstrating the impact and feasibility of your solution.

What to Build

Participants are encouraged to create innovative solutions within the following themes: Finance, Education, HealthCare, Defense, Energy, and Open Innovation. Your project can address a specific problem, improve an existing process, or introduce a novel approach to a known challenge. We are looking for solutions that leverage the power of AI to make a significant impact. Projects with commercial potential will receive extra weightage, similar to the Smart India Hackathon. Whether you are developing a new financial model, an educational tool, a healthcare application, a defense strategy, an energy-saving innovation, or an open-ended AI solution, your creativity and problem-solving skills are key.

What to Submit

Your submission should include the following:

  1. PPT Presentation: Use the provided PPT template from a previous Hackathon to present your project. Ensure it covers all critical aspects of your solution, including the problem statement, methodology, implementation, and potential impact.

  2. GitHub Repository Link: Submit the link to your project's GitHub repository. This should include all the code, documentation, and any other relevant files. Please ensure the repository is public and properly organized.

  3. Project Details: Make sure your GitHub repository contains clear instructions on how to run your project, any dependencies required, and a detailed README file explaining the project.

Submission Deadline: All submissions must be made by 4 PM on the 30th.

Important Note: The timestamps on your GitHub repository will be checked to ensure the project was developed during the Hackathon timeframe. Any projects found to have been started before the Hackathon will be immediately disqualified.
